Let's Go to Michigan!
Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 7:00AM This past weekend, several of my best buds and I packed up and took off to the Great Beyond... also known as Michigan. We went last year, and we loved it so much we decided to venture east once again.
Bossyboots, Yah-Yoh, Goober, Wrigley-T, Senor Diamondback, the Lil Otter, and I agreed that the only mission for the weekend was to eat, drink, and nap. We could execute the specified activities on either the beach or in the woods - our choice!
Life is tough, so tough. :)
My favorite parts about the weekend...
- Frosty beverages and the Little Dipper on a midnight beach
- A bonfire and toasty marshmallows - also on the beach. We didn't even have to light the fire! We inherited it from other beachcombers! Easy peasy.
- Being without internet or phone service! I have internet and phone addictions, soooooo sometimes I need to be saved from myself.
This weekend was just what I wanted - to do nothing but relax and hang out. This was my last true summer weekend, due to my work schedule, and it was wonderful. Here's to good friends.

Your pictures make me miss the Michigan summers from when I was younger. That last photo is phenomenal, by the way. Looks like you guys had a blast!

sigh, this is what i wish my friends were like. we all went on a weekend trip to northern Wisconsin and I wouldn't have minded sitting around and drinking with them while relaxing. But instead, our drinking had to be in the form of binge drinking games - like flippy cup, beer pong, drinking card games, beer bongs, shotgunning a beer, etc. Do you do that type of thing with your friends? Or were your friends like that in the past? Please tell me my friends will outgrow this and be able to have relaxing weekends like yours someday... Or maybe I just need a new group of friends.
