When the Commitment is Just TOO High...

I have often played with the idea of getting a tattoo, but it's just so... permanent.  In fact, I've even had a particular design in mind for over a year; I just can't pull the trigger!  Some people look great in tattoos, but I'm not sure I'm one of them.  For all I know, I'll look trashy.  Let's be real here... some people look superhot with tattoos; and and some people just don't.  That's life.  I know a woman who has an entire leg and most of her back tatted up, and she looks fantastic.  One of my sushi-lovin' Bee-friends has a gorgeous back-piece that is amazing.

Since I'm clearly not ready to make the commitment, I found this website to strike a happy halfway point...

It would appear that I can design my own tattoo and "test run" it!  I could see this coming in very handy, especially when batting around a tattoo decision.

Now, will I really ever take the plung and get inked for real?  Probably not, seeing as I am the grand old age of 32 and haven't so much as come within 50 feet of a tattoo needle.  Are you marked?  Do you love it, regret it?  If you aren't, why not?  No interest... or are you just chicken, like me?

I have a small tattoo near my hip bone. Even though its easily covered, I do regret it. :-|

My hubby is tatted up - the count stands at eight right now - and I've toyed with it - but like you said, some people are just not meant to have tats, and I am one of them.

This. Is. Awesome!

I've thought many times about getting a tattoo. I've even drawn it out and thought about where I would put it. But like you I just can't take the plunge. I'm such an impulsive person, I feel like I would regret it in 2.5 seconds. Oh how I wish I was a person who could pull off an amazing tattoo!!!

I'm definitely going to check out that site!

I have two and I love both of them. I'm an engineer so I keep them covered while at work but it works for me!

I have one of a snowflake and I love it - actually I often forget I have it! It's on the inside of my right calf. I want to get another - the word TEN or just 10. The first race I ran was the Army 10 miler and training for that race really changed my life. PLUS I'm married on 10.10.10. It feels a TOUCH redneck though :) HAHA!

Yes I have one. No I don't regret it. But I also never ever ever see it since its on my backside.
It was done when I needed something new.
It is a design I still love
and i thought it felt fantastic getting it done. Yeah- there was a little pain...but the good kind, ify'knowwhatimean....
afterwards I could completely understand how and why people could get addicted to body ink.

So regret mine. I was 18 and it's meaningless to me. It's sorta huge and on my back, so I really don't notice it much unless I see it in the mirror. It doesn't suit me...the style or the ink. I'm more of a bare skinned type of a lady. I don't ever even bring up that I have one and in fact, most people who do know are shocked because I'm modest in appearance. But...yeah...regret.

Hmm. I'm kind of the same - love tattoos on other people, but just don't think it would work for me. And think I've finally figured out why. It's not just a personality thing - rather, it's a redhead thing. Okay, I'm not a redhead since I die my hair blonde, but I'm pale. With freckles. And in my opinion, the tattoos that look amazing are always on tanned, golden skinned or dark-skinned people. I think my paleness just makes it look a bit rednecky-trashy, you know?
Just my two cents. :-)
