Dress Shoppin'

Wedding season is coming up, and guess what?  You can't go to weddings nekkid.  It outshines the bride, which is really rude.  SO, I spent some time tonight looking for a dress to wear to a few of the weddings I'm planning to attend this summer.  So far, my folder on my computer has these dresses...

From Anthropologie for $158...

From Nordstrom, also for $158...

And from JCrew, at $250 (which is really just too much money.)

I think dress shopping might be my most hated shopping project!  Out of the many online stores I checked out... these were the only three I liked, and I really want to keep the price at $150 or less.  Argh.  My perfect "event" dress would be just above knee-length, creative, with at least cap sleeves, defined waist, and covers my boobs so I don't feel like a 'ho.  Is that too much to ask?  :)

Duuuuuude, check out ModCloth. They always have the cutest stuff, for cheap!

I like that J Crew dress but the model looks like she's just been beaten up or otherwise traumatized!

I'm planning to hit up Anthropologie for a dress that will probably make multiple wedding appearances this summer! I love all of your choices :)

Ya know, you can always borrow the navy silk dress from Colo's Closet! ;) While it's not "creative," it certainly fits the other criteria...

Enter Shabby Apple (http://www.shabbyapple.com/)

I do believe that all the dresses sold by them meet your requirements. I don't know if they're formal enough, or your style but the cover all the necessary ahem pieces :)

Tulle (http://www.tulle4us.com/) has cute things, but prehaps not dressy enough for weddings (depends of course). Don't forget the power that is TJ Maxx and Marshall's-no one has to know where your Calvin Kline dress came from :)
