Yes, friends, today is the return of the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte and the Pumpkin Scone. Dun dun dunnnnnn.
Millions rejoice.
As much as I love my pumpkin scone, what I'm REALLY excited about is that the Return of the Pumpkin marks us ever closer to the Return of the Peppermint Mocha, which is the pinnacle. Nom. Am I right?

Doesn't the thought of the red cup just bring you that much more cheer. Think I'll be on my way at lunch to indulge in a pumpkin latte too!
After my own heart! I had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte at Panera Bread last Thursday, and knowing they have returned to Starbucks has made my Tuesday a little better. I wonder if I can convince someone to make a Starbucks run today...and also, Peppermint Mochas are my super-favorite. <sigh>
OMG I just had to order a short one myself this morning! Such a treat. I'm ready for Gingerbread - but without the crystalized ginger, too much.
More importantly it means we are closer to the return of the CRANBERRY BLISS BARS. Ahhhhhhhhhh and I will eat one every day that they are in season :)

You are a girl after my own heart. I was so super excited to walk into Starbucks today and see the "Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back!" sign! I've never tried the scone, but it sounds like a must!
Ooh, I'm with you on the peppermint. Never tried the pumpkin because the thought of pumpkin + coffee weirded me out a little. But I love both flavors in all other forms, so on your recommendation will have to give it a try!
Yesterday I went to Starbucks and they had samples for the Pumpkin Spice Latte and so I though hey I saw it online it must be good.....and know what it was not so much for me. I could not stop laughing though because the lady behind the counter looked so shocked. So thanks for making me have a good laugh!!
I'm a Starbucks barista, and figured I'd point out you can order a Peppermint Mocha year-round, despite the fact that it's not listed on the menu that way. It won't have the sprinkles (which vary year to year anyhow) that it has during the winter, but it is otherwise identical to our winter promotional drink. Unless it's just run out, we always have peppermint syrup in the store.
Recipe: Mocha syrup, Peppermint syrup, espresso, milk, whipped cream, (sprinkles)
You could ask 'em to put some chocolate drizzle on top, which is no extra charge and can fancy it up a li'l for you. ;)
You can get all sorts of syrup combination mochas. We have plenty of customers that get Caramel Mochas, Mocha White Mochas, Vanilla Mochas, Hazelnut Mochas, etc.
